Check out my new slideshow!!!

Hello! Well, I've been creating! Digitally, that is! Check out my new slideshow. This was created with a smilebox program! Make sure you click the arrow at the bottom of the page to have it turn, so you can view other creations! I've made hundreds of unique pieces of jewelry! I'll be periodically showcasing some of my favorites using this very "friendly" software! I'd love comments on what any of you think!

My etsy shop is having a BOGO 1/2 off sale! Luckily, some people are taking advantage of that. To know how it works, please go to my shop and read the shop announcements. My shop link is in the previous post! The sale is good on anything in my shop!

I can't wait until the holidays SLOWWWWW down a little so I can get back to creating new pieces of jewelry! I have two ideas for NEW lines for spring! Both prototypes are made! I'm keeping one to wear and the other is a gift! Doesn't creating make gift giving easier?! I just love that!

Well, this will be it for a few days! Enjoy the slide show!

What is behind your creativity?

Welcome to my blog! Here you will find the story behind my handcrafted jewelry, general thoughts on creativity, and links to my etsy shop as well as other cool sites that I come across!

I was recently inspired to start a blog by being featured on one by funnyskycreations! The writer of this blog shared my story with her followers on December 5th, 2009. Thanks for the inspiration funnyskycreations!

Making jewelry has become my passion! I started making beaded jewelry about 6 years ago as a hobby. I love making jewelry. My inspiration comes from many different sources but mostly is one of color. I have been told, for many years, that I have a great sense of color and color schemes. This goes back to our first house when my husbands Aunt was visiting. After looking around she exclaimed, "Who was your decorator", "Your color combinations are fabulous". Well, I did not have a decorator. I was the decorator and the seamstress....making all of our own window shades for that house! I guess I was creative back then, too!

Back to beading.....well, I just love to find unique beads or combinations of beads. I especially love to do monochromatic themes with different textures/types of beads or a variation on tone within a monochromatic color scheme. The Swarovski Crystal Pendant Necklace above is one of my monochromatic examples. This necklace can be found in my etsy shop at .....Sorry, folks but the matching bracelet just sold this week! Anyway, you get the idea on the monochromatic theme creations.
I find that being creative is a stress reliever for me! I love that jewelry is self-limiting in that I can sit down and create a piece of unique jewelry in a relatively small amount of time. I love the sense of accomplishment and beauty within the accomplishment! Of course, it also helps that other people seem to like what I create as well.
